The Business Therapist – Brand, Web and eBook design.

By Laurence Orr

I created a new visual brand, ebook cover design and website design for Paul Foster, aka The Business Therapist. Paul Foster is an award winning business consultant and accountant. He wanted to build a brand and “digital presence” around his business advice and coaching support to small business owners. After talking with Paul on multiple occasions I really came to respect his thoughts on small business, in which I have even taken away some helpful advice for mine.

He wanted something different than what the stereotypical accountant offers. He has a warm and interesting personality and likes to give out 4 leaf clovers to his clients. I developed a few different brand directions for him but everyone easily gravitated to this design since it fit his personality the best.

Please comment and let me know what you think.

In collaboration with Web Marketing Therapy.

Laurence Orr
A local Santa Barbara - web designer + graphic artist + interface designer.

nfxdesign is my playground to try out and perfect new web and graphic techniques and technologies. I pride myself on being able to take a client's rough, verbal idea and transform it into a polished proof-of-concept that serves as a good foundation for finishing the project. I understand that, rather than mold the client's wishes to my vision, my work must conform to my client's needs.

Just some of my skills:

  • Proficient in the latest HTML & CSS standards and uses.
  • Experience with Javascript/JQuery and Wordpress.
  • Highly proficient in the Adobe suite of applications including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (though I prefer to hand code) and Flash.
  • Proficient in Adobe Flash animation and interactive design.
  • Experience with a lot of different print design, including posters, brochures, business cards, etc.
